Vision 2025 quiz programme
Resources:
- Question Master/Mistress – someone who is outgoing, will be able to keep order and doesn’t mind the sound of their own voice. Their decision is always final.
- Someone to keep the score
- Runners
- Small tables with 4 – 6 chairs around each depending on team sizes
- Blackboard/overhead projector/flip chart for keeping score
- Questions and answers
- Answer sheets
- Joker cards
How it works:
- Ask people to enter their team (using a Bible-related team name)
- Set some rules e.g. no conferring between teams
- Bibles/books/mobile phones etc. may NOT be used to find answers
- Answer sheets should be handed to the runner at the end of each round
- Each team can only use a Joker once, before a round commences, and then the team’s score on that round is doubled.
- The winning team receives a (donated) prize.
Questions and answers for all rounds except round 3 come from The Amazing Book of Bible Facts, by Martin H Manser, © 1990, published by Marshall Pickering in 1990; used by the kind permission of the author
Scoring:
1. After each round, the answer sheets should be handed in to the runner who gives them to the scorekeeper. They should then be marked as the next round is taking place and after every second round the scores are put on a continuous score sheet for everyone to see.
Or
2. After each round, the answer sheets should be swapped between teams for marking. The score keeper should keep a record of the scores.
