Basket
Scripture Passage: Acts
9:22-25
Baskets can be used for many things. This time a basket
was used to save a preacher's life. When Saul began to
preach to people of other nations, they changed his name to
Paul. If his life had not been saved, he would not have preached
the gospel to the Gentiles. He
could not have written those thirteen books of the New Testament
which teach us so much about living for Jesus.
Questions:
1. How was a basket used to save Paul's life?
The people lowered
Paul in a basket over the wall around the city.
2. Without their
help, what would have happened to Paul?
He would have been
killed.
3. What did Paul write that is a help to us today?
He wrote
thirteen books of the New Testament.
Memory verse: Romans
1:16
For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes--Jews first and also Gentiles. (NLT)
