Body
Scripture Passage: Ephesians
4:15-16
Our heads control our bodies. Some diseases or accidents cause
a break in the communication between the head and parts of
the body. Then the body does not respond to what the
head tries to tell it to do. If we allow sin in our lives,
we will break the unity with Christ. We will no longer
be able to hear and obey His will. The church is the
body of Christ. If we are not in unity with Him, we will
cause difficulties for the other members of the church. The
church will not grow and be as strong as it should be. We
need to have Jesus in control of our lives.
Questions:
1. What part of you controls your body?
It is the head that
controls parts of the body.
2. What is it that forms the body
of Christ?
It is the church.
3. If we are not in unity with Christ, what
happens?
The church is in danger.
Memory verse: Romans
12:1
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? (NLT)
