Boy Jesus
Scripture
Passage: Luke
2: 41-52
This is a very important reading in the gospel story. A
Jewish boy became a man when he was 12 years old. Then he became
a " son of the law" and had to do what the law said.
So at the age of twelve, Jesus for the first time went to the
Passover. No one noticed Him gone, because the women
left first and the men later. When Joseph and Mary found
Him, He was in the temple, listening to the discussions and
searching for knowledge. Yet Jesus' special relationship
with God did not disturb His relationship with His earthly
parents and other people. He
went back home with them.
Questions:
1. When did a Jewish boy become a man?
When
He was 12 years old.
2. Where was Jesus found?
In the Temple.
3. Who was Jesus' Father?
God.
Memory verse: Luke
2:52
So Jesus grew both in height and in wisdom, and he was loved by God and by all who knew him. (NLT)
