Scripture Passage: Luke
15:8-10
We sweep our floors to make sure there are no scorpions
or other insects in our house. We want our floors to
be clean and safe for our family. This woman swept
her floor into every corner to find the coin she had lost.
This coin was probably of gold and was part of her dowry,
that is, it was her own property that her husband could not
spend. We are more precious to God than that coin was to
her. She called her friends to rejoice with her when she
found her coin. God calls His angels to rejoice with Him
when he finds a lost sinner who asks for salvation.
Questions:
1. Why do we sweep our floors and compounds?
To make them clean
and safe for our family.
2. What did this woman do when she
found her lost coin?
She called her friends to rejoice with
her.
3. What does God do when He finds a sinner who repents?
He
calls His angels to rejoice with Him.
Memory verse: Luke
15:10
In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God's angels when even one sinner repents. (NLT)
