Brotherly Love

Scripture Passage: 1 John 3:11-16

Often John talks about opposites, for instance light and darkness, truth and lies, life and death. In these verses he begins with a command to love one another. This is the most important gift of all, even more than faith and hope. The greatest of these is love.

Questions:
1. What is the message from the beginning?
We should love one another.
2. How do we know what love is?
Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.
3. How can we be like Jesus?
We ought to lay down our lives for our brothers (fellow Christians).
