Gift                                       

Scripture Passage: Matthew 2:11-18

God sees the future just as clearly as we see the past. He knew that Herod would try to kill the baby Jesus. Joseph and Mary would need money to travel to Egypt and live there. The gifts of the wise men were very expensive and were easy to carry. God had prepared for the baby Jesus by sending these gifts. Joseph and Mary were able to stay in Egypt until Herod died. God will supply our needs if we are serving Him faithfully.

Questions:
1. How did God know that Herod would try to kill Jesus?
He sees the future clearly.
2. How did God supply Joseph and Mary's need for money?
He sent men from the east with expensive, portable gifts.
3. What will God do for us if we serve Him faithfully?
He will supply our needs too.
