Harvest
Scripture
Passage: Matthew
22:1-5
To harvest a good crop, a farmer must put in
a lot of work and time. Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven
is like a feast to which we have been invited. Some of
us are too busy going to our farms or businesses to have time
to care about God's invitation. Coming to God and receiving
His salvation is far more important than a crop or business.
We need to put Him first in our lives, as we are told in Matthew
6:33.
Questions:
1. What did Jesus say the Kingdom of Heaven is like?
It is
like a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son and invited
guests to it.
2. Why do some people not accept God's invitation?
Because
they are too busy with other things.
3. If we put God first
in our lives, what is the result?
He will take care of us here
and we will live with Him after we die.
Memory verse: Matthew
6:33
And he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. (NLT)
