Feeding the Five Thousand
Scripture
Passage: Mark
6:35-44
Wherever Jesus went, crowds followed Him, bringing Him
the sick to heal and always asking Him questions. In
five places, Mark records that Jesus took His disciples to
a quiet place to escape the crush of the crowd. But
Jesus still had great compassion for the people and He could
not see them go home hungry. We pray that we too have this
compassion for people to help them bodily as well as spiritually.
Questions:
1. What attitude did Jesus have to the crowd?
He had compassion
on them.
2. How many people were fed miraculously?
Over five thousand.
3. How much did the people eat?
They ate and were satisfied.
Memory verse: Mark
6:34
A vast crowd was there as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. (NLT)
