Fishing
Scripture: Matthew
4:18-20
Simon Peter and His brother Andrew, had a good business. They
had a boat and nets to catch fish. But when Jesus called
them to follow Him, they were willing to leave their successful
business to follow Him. If Jesus calls us to serve Him by "catching" people
for Him, are we willing to put His call ahead of our business?
Questions:
1. What did Jesus say to Andrew and Simon?
"Come follow
me and I will make you fishers of men."
2. How long did
Simon and Andrew think over Jesus offer?
They immediately left
their nets and followed Him.
3. What can we learn from these
men's reaction to Jesus' call?
We too should be willing
to immediately respond to Jesus' call.
Memory verse: Matthew
4:19
Jesus called out to them, "Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!" (NLT)
