Head Pad

Passage: Matthew
27:27-31
Instead of a cloth to protect His head, they put a
crown of thorns on Jesus. The soldiers didn't just
set the thorns on His head, but hit Him on top of them to
drive them into His scalp. All this pain He endured
for our sins so God would forgive us. His blood was
shed for us. Hebrews 9: 22 tells is that sins are forgiven
only when blood is poured out. Jesus' blood is like a protection
on our heads so the wrath of God will not strike us for our
sins.
Questions:
1. What did the soldiers put on Jesus' head?
A crown of thorns.
2. Why did Jesus endure all this pain?
So that God would forgive
us for our sins.
3. What does Jesus' blood act like?
It is like a head pad to
protect us from the pain of God's anger for our sin.
