Honey
Scripture Passage: Revelation
10:9-10a
In the Old Testament, the Psalmist says how he loves
to meditate on God's words and that God's words are sweeter
than honey to his mouth. In Revelation when the angel told John to grasp and fully digest the words of the scroll it was sweet in his mouth but like bad news in his stomach. But
God's eternal purposes will be the good news- the gospel,
which is sweeter than honey.
Questions:
1. What did John ask the angel for?
The scroll, or God's word.
2. What did the angel tell John to
do?
To eat it, meaning to meditate on it.
3. What did the scroll
taste like to John?
It was as sweet as honey.
Memory verse: Psalm
119:103
How sweet are your words to my taste; they are sweeter than honey. (NLT)
