Old Things

Scripture Passage: Colossians 3:2-10

When we come to Jesus and ask His forgiveness for our sins, we must begin a new life. We need to stop doing those things that God does not approve and lead a life obedient to His laws. We are to be new people. God will help us to live that new life if we ask Him. We cannot do it in our own strength; no matter how hard we try. We need to trust Him and keep in touch with Him in prayer for His assistance in living the way He wants us to.

Questions:
1. What do we begin when our sins are forgiven?
We begin a new life of righteousness.
2. On what should we set our minds?
On things above, not on earthly things.
3. In Whose strength can we live this new life?
In God's strength.


Memory verse: 2 Corinthians 5:17
What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! (NLT)
