Palm Nuts

Scripture Passage: James 5:14-15

Only the people in the tropical areas can grow palm nuts. In Israel, olives were used to produce oil for cooking and medicines.  James tells us that when we use medicine we should pray and ask God for healing. 1 Peter 2:24 says that Jesus paid for our healing with the stripes laid on His back when they whipped Him. (Mark 15:15) Let us thank Him for our healing.

1. From what did the Israelites get their cooking oil?
They got oil from olives.
2. When we take medicine, what else should we do?
We should pray for God to heal us.
3. How was our healing paid for?
It was paid with the wounds Jesus received.
