Sandals
Scripture Passage: John
13:1-5, 12-17
In New Testament times, the Jewish people had
servants to do the menial tasks. To take off people's
sandals and wash their dusty feet was the job of the lowliest
servant of all. None of the disciples would lower themselves
to do this job, so Jesus did it. Jesus said that He
had set them an example. His followers are to be servants
to others. Matthew 20:28 says that Jesus came not to be served,
but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.
Questions:
1. What did Jesus do?
He washed His disciples feet.
2. What did Jesus set them?

3. What are Jesus' followers to be?
