Shoes
Scripture Passage: Luke
3:15-16
The lowest of the servants was expected to untie the
traveller's shoes, remove them and wash his feet. John
the Baptist says that Jesus is so great that he is not worthy
to even be Jesus' lowliest servant. In Matthew 11:11,
Jesus says that there has arisen no greater man than John.
How much more then should we worship the One who is greatest
of all—Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is King of kings
and Lord of lords.
Questions:
1. Who was to wash people's feet?
It was the job of the lowliest
servant in the household.
2. What did John say he was unworthy
to do?
He was not worthy to be Christ's lowliest servant.
3. Who is
it we should worship?
We should worship Jesus, God's Son, the
King of kings and Lord of
Lords.
Memory verse: Revelation
17:14
The Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord over all lords and King over all kings, and his people are the called and chosen and faithful ones. (NLT)
