Shouting to Scare
Birds
Scripture Passage: Luke
12:4-7
Birds are frightened when they hear someone shouting
at them. It is wise to fear what can do us harm so
we will avoid it. Jesus tells us whom we should fear.
When God's wrath falls on the earth it will be terrible.
Since He is all-powerful, we should fear Him above all else.
The only shelter, for us, from His anger is salvation through
Jesus. When
we receive Him into our hearts, He covers us with His righteousness
so we are safe from God's anger against sin.
Questions:
1. Why do birds fly when someone shouts at them?
Because they
are afraid.
2. Of whom should we be afraid?
God.
3. What is our protection from God's anger?
Salvation through
Jesus.
Memory verse: 1
Thessalonians 5:9
For God decided to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. (NLT)
