The Resurrection
Scripture
Passage: Matthew
28:1-10
The two women in the passage were friends of Jesus and
they came to visit His tomb to pay their respects. When
they got there they expected the very heavy tombstone to
still be in front of the tomb. However, God had sent
His angel to roll it away. The
angel was also a messenger to the two women. The women went
to Galilee as the angel told them, but on their way Jesus
appeared to them. They were so happy to see Jesus and
so overcome with love and awe that they fell at His feet
in worship. Jesus had died but had conquered death and He rose
again to reign victorious as King. He is the risen
Lord, our friend and Saviour and we should fall before Him
in worship for what He has done.
Questions:
1. Who rolled the stone away from the entrance to
the tomb?
God's angel.
2. Who had risen from the dead?

3. What did the women do when they saw Jesus?

His feet in worship.
Memory verse: John
11:25
