The Woman at the Well

Scripture: John 4:1-14

Everybody needs water in order to live. Each day we need a new supply. Our bodies cannot function without it. Our spirits cannot stay alive without a daily supply of Jesus' "living water". We need to pray every day in order to keep spiritually healthy. Just as children cannot grow without water and food, so we cannot grow without God's word and prayer. Let us not neglect our daily time with the Lord and His word.

Questions:
1. How did Jesus answer the Samaritan woman's 1st question?
"If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water."
2. What did the Samaritan woman think that Jesus was talking about?
A continuous supply of water so that she would not get thirsty and have to keep coming to the well to draw water.
3. What did Jesus say would be the result of drinking the water He offered?
The water I give Him will become in Him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
